Here are a few, old haiku (re)written for my favorite cereals on the planet.  Man, I really love cereal.  I think I'll actually do some groceries tonight and buy a few boxes.

Frosted Flakes, they're great.
Hyperactivity, me?
Mnn, more sugar please.

Oatmeal Crisp, divine.
Wait, what is this that I feel?
My stomach erupts.

Ok, no, not really. I DO have to come back.  Not that I really want to return to my exciting life as a government drone, eking out a meager living, and giving myself a wider ass thanks to a lack of exercise/excessive sitting.

We're going to the Philippines again this year – we'll be spending some time in Manila, then go back to our town, then flying out to Bohol for some touristy/beachy/outdoorsy action.  And this time, we'll be there for 8 whole days (as opposed to last year, when were were there for FOUR. Pathetic.)

I know you wanna come with me.  You're totally welcome to: you just hafta pay for your own transpo, but you can stay at our house/relatives' house.  I'll even buy you food – but you'll eat what we eat, none of this McDonalds bullshit.

I'm particularly excited about spending Oct 31-Nov1 at the family cemetery – serenading our dead ancestors with karaoke magic, eating food spread out on top of their tombs, watching kids play with fireworks in between hulking mausoleums.  I haven't done the cemetery thing since I was a kid and had to weed between burial plots (and occasionally getting glimpses of old bones inside broken down tombs.)

I'm also thrilled at the thought of finally getting out of Luzon and going down south.  I've never been to Bohol – and I can't wait to spend a few days with a friend's family, hitting the beach, watching dolphins, going sightseeing, eating like royalty. A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

Sungha Jung  is awesome.

He’s a prodigy. And he’s got more talent in his little finger than you and I combined.
